Domaine Puig-Parahy Rivesaltes Tuile
Rivaling the 1950 Tuile, the 1982 Rivesaltes Tuilé is another flat-out awesome Rivesaltes from this team. Loaded with notions of roasted figs, cigar, toffee and hints of caramel, this full-bodied, silky, weightless and elegant effort has a deep, rich mid-palate, notable freshness and no shortage of depth or richness. Made from mostly Grenache, with a splash of Carignan, this spent 33 years in older barrels, it’s a singular effort that I wish every reader could taste.
