Dunn Trailer Vineyard
Their one-off sort of bottling is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Trailer Vineyard, which is the original vineyard that Randy Dunn purchased in 1978 and replanted in 2013, so this was made from old vines. There are only 11 barrels of this wine, which is under 300 cases. This is fabulous wine with an almost essence of the Dunn style. With a murky purple color, a huge nose of white flowers intermixed with mulberry and blackberry liqueur, licorice, smoked meats and charcoal, the wine has huge density and massive extraction, but wonderfully sweet tannin, and plenty of it. This is a multidimensional, fabulous effort. This should drink well for 30-50 years.
