Teperberg Riesling Late Harvest
The grapes for this Late Harvest White Riesling were grown in the heart of the "orchard vineyards" in the Judean area. The harvest is delayed by a month in order to let the grapes fully mature. Upon fermentation, the wine is then aged for six months in American barrels, where its characteristic peach and honey flavors are enriched with nuances of vanilla. Light golden color, with moderate sweetness offset nicely by natural acidity and a relatively low alcohol content (about 10%), opening to show dried apricots, honeyed apples, and a good hint of pepper. Lively and fresh, as good as an aperitif as a dessert wine. Serve chilled with goose liver pate or rich chocolate cake.
