Aromatic and inviting, it’s got a pleasing dusty character that calls to mind the Cabs from Napa’s Rutherford Bench. Mouthcoating flavors of blue fruits, cassis, shaved chocolate, sandalwood, espresso and a touch of licorice are artfully combined, set against smooth, ripe and persistent tannins. Aged 22 months in one third new French oak barrels, it’s drinking beautifully and may be at its best over the next half decade
