It is wonderfully extracted yet never errs to extremes and is surprisingly supple for a big Pinot of its age, and its tastefully oaked, ripe cherry flavors show the stamina and strength of a wine that will grow with time. While it will make memorable drinking in the short term with savory meat dishes, it is sure to improve for several years and will keep handily for a half-dozen more.
