O'Shaughnessy Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa is actually 72% from Mt. Veeder and 28% from Howell Mountain, and is an interesting blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 11% Malbec. This wine has a thick-looking bluish/purple color and notes of charcoal, graphite, blueberry and black raspberry fruit with some cassis emerging. It is medium to full-bodied and exhibits impressive purity, texture and length. For a 2013, it is already drinking well, but it is capable of evolving for 15-20 years.
