Husic Vineyards Pinot Noir
Our 2014 Pinot Noir from the Lynch Vineyard near Occidental was planted in 1991 on a west-facing hillside, catching the afternoon breezes coming in from the Pacific. This keeps the aromas fresh while fully ripening the fruit. 2014 was a steady ripening year, leading to our most burgundian Pinot Noir to date. Expect classic aromas of montmorency cherry pit, sassafras, clove spice, wintergreen, and vanilla. Native yeast fermentation has provided the palate with complexity to spare, and the cool vintage shapes the wine with fine acidity, giving the deep flavors shape and intensity. The finish features fine tannins and excellent length.
